Technician Class Band Allocations in the Philippines

Image
My license band allocations are 40M, 15M and 10M on HF bands and 2M on VHF. I was a Technician class 2 decades ago, and am still a Technician class up to this date. For me, what I need is just a license to operate legally on HF bands. I don't think I have the time to conquer all the bands. I have other hobbies too, and I am contented and satisfied with these bands.            It is not the "Class of License" the amateur holds ,       but the "Class of the Amateur" that holds the license.     http://www.para.org.ph/docs/DU-Band-Plan-DW1ZCF.pdf

Once a Ham, Always a Ham...

Image
In January of 2014, an old amateur friend offered me his HF rig/antenna and encouraged me to try the hobby again. Only this time that I really had my FIRST TASTE OF DX ... and it was fun! I retook exam because license got expired for not renewing in 20+ years and amnesty to renew it was far more expensive. Luckily I passed at first retake.

A Little Bit of History and Radio Station License

Image
I was first introduced into the hobby early 1990s by friends active in radio communication engaged in public assistance particularly during disasters and natural calamities. In the year 1994 when I first took my amateur licensing exam and passed with my first amateur call of DU3TAZ. But never had a transmission on the HF bands then, no rigyet and my activity was mostly VHF-2M band operations only. Studies and work made me busy and so I did forgot all about the amateur radio thing for more than 2 decades. My Very First Radio Station License
